Luck is a reward for preparedness I worked as a leader for decades. I have built good teams, listened to their ideas and tried to incorporate those into my decision making – the responsibility always being mine, by natural. As a coach, however, my role has changed. In a living environment, in a given company culture it is the manager who has to find correct answers as it is their world. My role is merely to help to find the optimal solution by showing a mirror or by bringing in examples how others handled similar situations. The decision and the responsibility related is always that of the manager. About myself as a coach I use to speak as a route planner since my partners are prepared and they know their destination. My role is to support them to choose the most efficient route to achieve their goals. Recently I concentrated on utilizing the skills I gathered, working decades for non-profit and multinational companies, at a new level by delivering all that to my partners.
Több évtizeden keresztül vezetőként dolgoztam. Jó csapatokat építettem, tagjaik javaslatait mindenkor igyekeztem beépíteni döntéshozatalomba – a megoldás felelőssége természetesen az enyém volt. Coach-ként azonban más a szerepem. Egy működő szervezetben, meglévő vállalati kultúrában a vezetőnek kell megtalálnia a helyes választ, hiszen ez az ő világa. A döntés, annak felelőssége mindig a vezetőé. Magamról – mint coach-ról – leginkább, mint útvonal tervezőről beszélek, hiszen ügyfeleim felkészültek, ismerik a célt. Az én feladatom, hogy hozzásegítsem őket az oda vezető utak közül a leghatékonyabb kiválasztásához. Az elmúlt időszakban folyamatosan arra koncentráltam, hogy több évtizedes, non-profit, illetve multinacionális környezetben szerzett vezetői tapasztalatomat immár új szinten állítsam szolgálatba. Ehhez különösen megfelelő segítség az első magyar coaching modell, a DIADAL (Diagnózis – Iránykijelölés – Alternatívák – Döntés – Alkalmazás – Lezárás), illetve annak orosz megfele-lője, az OSNOVA alkalmazása.
